The United Way of the Ohio Valley will distribute $180,000 in Impact grants and raise the maximum award to $30,000 to help nonprofits reduce poverty—eligible agencies in counties including Daviess, Hancock, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster must submit a letter of intent by September 26.
William Jewell took an early lead in a nonconference game Saturday and beat Kentucky Wesleyan 48 to 21 on the road — quick strikes and turnovers put the win out of reach. Kentucky Wesleyan briefly rallied before halftime but will return home next Saturday to Steele Stadium — the loss leaves them with an 0-2 record.
