- ➤ The Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market is accepting vendor applications for its 2026 season, with nearly 100 spaces available and a $50 membership fee; new vendors can attend a meeting on Jan. 20 at Daviess County Cooperative Extension (4800 A New Hartford Road) as the season launches on April 18. - ➤ The Owensboro NAACP will host an MLK observance on Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church featuring Rev. George Madison and a humanitarian award, and a Freedom Fund Banquet on Jan. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers Hall on the KWC campus. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Fast Lane Auto Repair Plus will relocate this spring to the former Walgreens building on KY 54 (a renovated shop at KY 54 and Fairview Drive) to add a dozen service bays and new diagnostic tools. It will run its Breckinridge Street outlet until the move is complete. The Owensboro Times
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Girls’ basketball on Jan. 3 saw Owensboro Catholic beat Hancock County 60–28 behind Taylor Mannahan’s 18 points, while McLean County knocked out Cloverport 71–4 to reach the Region All A Tournament final. Daviess County defeated Grayson County 54–35 to keep its playoff hopes alive. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ On Saturday, Jan. 3, Apollo (81-48) defeated Livingston Central while Daviess County (72-62) overcame McCracken County. Owensboro Catholic (63-42) and McLean County (66-21) advanced to the 3rd Region All A Tournament finals. The Owensboro Times
