  • A false social media post on Owensboro Chat mistakenly linked our fair to Indiana, but the Daviess County Lions Club announced that the fair will run July 15th-18th with motocross, monster truck shows, tractor pulls, rides, vendors, games and entertainment.  WOMI Owensboro
  • The Owensboro Human Relations Commission will mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday with a march and program beginning at 8:30 a.m. Community members are encouraged to participate in honoring King's legacy.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer
  • Mass resumed at St. Stephen Cathedral after a fire struck its parish office early Monday at 1:30 a.m. The church office (losing phone, internet, and electricity) remains closed while the building and nearby center were unharmed and community support has grown strong.  14 News

  • A Greenville man won $50,000 on New Year’s Eve after buying a Millionaire Club Scratch-off at Quality Quick in Owensboro, and he confirmed his win on Jan. 1, taking home $36,250 (after taxes) to help pay bills and add to his savings.  14 News
  • Henderson County Riverport Authority will receive $320,000 for a new electric material handler while the Owensboro Riverport Authority will invest over $200,000 in a yard tractor & forklift. Gov. Beshear said nearly $2.3 million in grants will bolster riverport safety and drive economic growth before the next budget session.  14 News
