- ➤ Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market is adding a commercial kitchen in its space to offer hands-on nutrition education workshops and support local food-based businesses (backed by multiple local grants). - ➤ Logan Barrow, a former teacher, opened a new Shelter Insurance office at 227 St. Ann Street, Suite 101 in downtown Owensboro in late August 2025 to help locals understand their policies better. - ➤ Twisted Tater, a family-run food truck that began in October 2025, serves loaded baked potatoes and weekly specials at local schools & neighborhood events while its owner works to secure permission to operate in Owensboro. - ➤ Cork & Cuisine: Passionate Pairings is set to take over the Convention Center on Feb. 12 at 6 p.m., featuring a four course dinner paired with themed cocktails and wines for a romantic evening. - ➤ PorchFest OBKY will return on June 13 to Griffith Avenue with front-porch concerts, local food, and community celebration. - ➤ Officials say a contractor will block Wimsatt Court North today and tomorrow for the KY 54 widening project; drivers should use the new exit at Calumet Court for access. 14 News
