- ➤ Hezekiah Watkins, known as the Youngest Freedom Rider, will share his civil rights journey at the Young Auditorium on March 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Sponsored by the KWC NAACP and the Daviess County Public Library, the free event offers a powerful night of storytelling and reflection. - ➤ Owensboro will host the GMAC Wrestling Championships on Jan. 31 at the Moore Center Gym (at Brescia University, hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College) where Division II wrestlers will compete for a conference title; admission is $12 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, with free entry for college ID holders.
