- ➤ The Bluegrass Legends Experience Car Show in Owensboro raised $61,000 in 2025 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by donating a check during the Radiothon. - ➤ Owensboro Rep. DJ Johnson’s bill to ban commercial harvesting and transport of live trophy catfish from the lower Ohio River advances in the House Natural Resources and Energy Committee, with the law set to take effect in 2027. - ➤ Health officials reported 13 nonfatal overdose encounters from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4 that raised an alert in Daviess County; they urged residents to carry naloxone (Narcan), learn overdose signs, call 911, and share prevention information to counter fentanyl risks. 44 News
