- ➤ Daviess County’s girls swimming team won four events at the first round KHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Bowling Green and advanced four athletes to state plus Owensboro Catholic’s 200 freestyle relay team qualified with a sixth-place finish. - ➤ Daviess County High and Middle School cheer teams finished as runners-up at the UCA Nationals on Sunday — the High School squad missed first by 0.4 points while Coach Kitty Jones praised community support and team dedication. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Owensboro native Khalil Rogers of the UK cheer team practiced with both Blue & White squads and helped White Squad win the UWCC title over Iowa Western. He said the rigorous schedule boosted his teamwork and he is gearing up for May tryouts to keep his role on Blue Squad. The Owensboro Times
