- ➤ Owensboro Dance Theatre presents IGNITE featuring Giordano Dance Chicago on Friday at 7 p.m. at RiverPark Center — an international jazz dance performance with a post-show celebration, school outreach, and extra dance classes on Thursday at Johnson’s Dance Studio for dancers age 10 and older. - ➤ KY Wesleyan College’s Wesleyan Academy now enrolls regional students for its on-campus dual credit program this fall, offering college courses to help prepare for a four-year degree. - ➤ Students from Owensboro Public Schools, Daviess County Public Schools, and Owensboro Catholic earned statewide recognition at the KMEA All-State Conference held at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. - ➤ On Feb. 10, boys basketball saw Daviess County beat McLean County 64-28 with strong plays from DeAaron Watkins and Davyn Randolph, while Owensboro lost 68-62 to Central Hardin and Owensboro Catholic fell 57-55 to Breckinridge County. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ The iTumble and Bounce team won the Mario Mashup Invitational over the weekend against five teams, earning 31 first-place, 13 second-place and 10 third-place finishes in tumbling, trampoline and double mini events (11 beginners competed). The Owensboro Times
