- ➤ More than 70 teams will converge at Apollo High School (March 6–7) for the Kentucky State VEX Robotics Championship featuring head-to-head STEM challenges and a college and career fair; the public can attend on March 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Matt Allen’s Aces Wrestling Club, started in 2016, trains youth and middle school wrestlers; after a strong showing at recent tournaments that earned 15 state qualifiers, the team will compete at state in Louisville on Feb. 21-22 and is accepting signups year-round. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Avery Jackson, an 11 year old archer who shot a perfect 300/300 + 56 of a possible 60 Xs, won the Kentucky S3DA Indoor State Championship today and earned Shooter of the Year in the Eagle Division.
