  • RK Shows gun show will be held at the Owensboro Sportscenter on March 14 (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) and March 15 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.). GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents were advised not to burn outdoors on Saturday — local firefighters responded to six bush fires in wooded areas as dry ground, low humidity, and gusty winds increased the risk. Officials urged caution while acknowledging that weather remained mild.  14 News

  • Trinity (Whitesville) lost to Grayson County in the 12th District Championship on Feb. 28 with a final score of 85-67 after falling behind from early three-point shots. The Raiders will compete in the 3rd Region Tournament next week.  The Owensboro Times
