Due to forecast freezing temperatures, the Daniel Pitino Shelter at 501 Walnut Street will open its emergency shelter in Owensboro on March 16 and 17.
It will provide overnight shelter from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. and free bus rides (Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) by local transit.
