  • Audubon Area Community Services invites residents from the seven-county district to complete its online Community Needs Assessment survey today to help shape upcoming programs and services. The survey is open to everyone regardless of previous service history.  The Owensboro Times

  • Roof Angel opened its Owensboro office at 2212 Frederica St. (near Jimmy John's) today as part of rapid expansion. The company completed millions in projects and will start a 300,000 sqft project in Indiana next month while launching a free roof donation for a veteran.  The Owensboro Times

CULTURE NEWS

  • Barbers, stylists, and hair enthusiasts gathered in the third-floor ballrooms at the Owensboro Convention Center on Sunday for the Klutch Barber Expo, which returned for its second year with more demos and networking opportunities — showing growth in local style trends.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer
  • The Happy Together Tour (in its 17th year) will perform at RiverPark Center on Aug. 16 at 6 p.m., featuring hitmakers from the ’60s and ’70s including The Association and The Troggs.  The Owensboro Times

  • Local track and field teams are gearing up for the 2026 season with strong rosters and focused training for upcoming spring competitions.   • Debbie Connor and her daughter Howard stepped down as the head and assistant coaches of the Daviess County dance team after 13 seasons.
