ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters from the Thruston-Philpot, Whitesville and Daviess County Fire Departments responded to a fire outside a home on the 6100 block of Highway 54 just before 9:15 p.m. Saturday and brought it under control—officials are still investigating the cause. 14 News
- ➤ The Daviess County Fire Department responded to an overnight house fire in the 6100 block of KY 54 using multiple preconnected hose lines to control the flames—no injuries were reported—and investigators are examining the cause. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Hendrick Screen is celebrating its 51st year today—making special steel screens for projects from the St. Louis Arch to military sites and local businesses. Started in 1974 as a coal supplier, the family-owned Owensboro company now employs 50 people and makes products that help filter water, cool power plants, and keep walkways safe. The Owensboro Times
