  • The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce will host a special edition of Rooster Booster breakfast tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. at the Convention Center on Second Street to mark its 65th anniversary, sponsored by Oddball Creative, and the event will feature a panel of past and current leaders along with a performance by the Men’s Mass Community Choir celebrating its 20th anniversary.  The Owensboro Times

  • 13-year-old Liam Bratcher went missing after he was last seen on Thursday at his home in the 3000 block of Daviess Street — he was wearing a yellow Nike hoodie and black sweatpants and has brown hair and blue eyes.  14 News
  • Owensboro police are investigating a weekend shooting on Hughes Avenue—two homes had bullet holes after an argument—and have obtained an arrest warrant while asking anyone with information to call 2706878888 or leave an anonymous tip at 2706878484.  44 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Beshear signed House Bill 15 on Tuesday—this law now lets teens get a driver's permit at 15 instead of 16—and it goes into effect right away. The law does not change the steps for getting a full license but gives young drivers more time to learn under supervision.  WDRB
  • Governor Beshear signed 17 bills into law on Monday that include three strengthening child and domestic violence protections. House Bill 38 raises penalties for breaking protective orders, Senate Bill 120 requires coaches to report abuse signs, and Senate Bill 169 lets companies provide digital records for child internet crime investigations.  44 News
  • The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet installed new traffic signals at Carter Road and Barron Drive near the Bypass on Tuesday, March 25 to improve safety—using lower clearance mast arm poles due to high voltage lines. The project closed Barron Drive and Middleground Drive West from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and imposed lane restrictions on Carter Road while the signals operated on flash for about two weeks.  Daviess County

Daviess County High will play Great Crossing High at 5:00 p.m. while Henderson County High faces Cooper High at 7:30 p.m., and the winners will meet on March 28th.  44 News
