Leaders and members of our community celebrated 65 years of Rooster Booster — a monthly breakfast in the Chambers — on Thursday morning where past and present speakers recalled how its ideas helped shape local projects.

Former Mayor David Adkisson said the event remains a cornerstone of civic dialogue and the next breakfast is set for April 3.

Today, Unifirst began a $28 million expansion at its facility near MidAmerica Airpark to add more than 109,000 square feet and new technology such as smart conveyors and robotics.
