- ➤ Owensboro native Cam Thompson — an emerging country artist — will release his new single 'Sober Side of Sorry' on April 18, describing it as his most personal work co-written with longtime collaborator Mitchell Douglas and recorded in Nashville last fall. - ➤ Young Kentuckians can apply for a free weeklong camp offered by the Kentucky State Police Youth Academy Program to develop leadership skills and learn law enforcement principles. The program will be held at Trooper Island Camp on Dale Hollow Lake from July 21—25—applications will be accepted until June 10. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Today, the Owensboro Times announced its 2025 Girls’ Basketball All-OT team with coaches selecting top players from local high schools — including Apollo, Daviess County, Hancock County, McLean County, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic and Trinity. The finalists for Girls’ Basketball of the Year will attend an awards ceremony in May when the winner is named. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Daviess County won 10-1 over Talawanda from Oxford after scoring eight runs in the bottom of the sixth and Hancock County lost 13-0 to Spencer County.
