- ➤ Glenn Funeral Home is hosting Give and Go to collect supplies for Borrowed Hearts of Owensboro. The drive-thru donation event will run 10 a.m. — 2 p.m. on April 9 at 900 New Hartford Road and items can be dropped off inside during business hours until April 16. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Residents can use real-time online maps for OMU and Kenergy and sign up for text alerts to report power outages. If Kenergy does not have a customer’s mobile number on file, they should update their account by calling 800-844-4832—customers are advised to check for updates when phone lines are busy. - ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency ahead of a severe weather event that is expected to bring tornadoes, strong winds, hail, and flooding. He urged all Kentuckians to seek shelter — he activated the emergency operations center and ordered the National Guard to be ready. WAVE
