- ➤ An emergency shelter opened at Owensboro Christian Church for residents displaced by flooding, according to Daviess County EMA. The shelter at 2818 New Hartford Rd opened at 4 p.m. Thursday and remains open through Monday morning—cots, meals, and linens are provided while guests are asked to bring their own and no pets are allowed. 44 News

- ➤ Governor Andy Beshear said a 66-year-old man died in Campbell County—marking the sixth flood death in Kentucky—as 70 of 120 counties are under emergency orders while the Ohio River crested in Louisville and will crest in Owensboro and Henderson this weekend. WDRB
