OVG will host the 11th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch at the Convention Center on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—guests will enjoy a chef-crafted buffet, a photo booth, and door prizes while mothers receive a complimentary gift and adults pay $30, children ages 6-12 pay $15, with children 5 and under admitted free.

On July 25th, 1980, a volunteer firefighter saw a house on fire near Knottsville and when firefighters extinguished the flames they uncovered the naked remains of 24-year-old Terri Howell — buried quickly before she was identified — leaving investigators with missing evidence and few witnesses in a case that remains unsolved.

Trinity High School's Lady Raiders won the Third Region fast pitch softball title with a 2-1 victory over Owensboro Catholic on Sunday at Whitesville Community Park; the team will represent the region at the All A Classic State Tournament on May 26-27 at Jack C.
