- ➤ Tent City residents staying at the Cadillac Motel face displacement today after last week's demolition of their river encampment. Nonprofits+church groups will host an event at Kendall Perkins Park tomorrow at 5:30 to provide food, clothing, and shelter resources. 14 News
- ➤ Jerry and Vickie Morris host the annual St. Jude Cook-Off at their Whitesville farm (1026 New Cut Road) on Saturday, July 11. The event features judging at 4 PM, dinner at 5 PM, live music, games, fireworks and smoked meats to benefit St. Jude. WOMI Owensboro

- ➤ Owensboro filmmaker Jamie Alvey's short film Your Husband Was a Good Man will stream on Bloodstream TV after a global festival run and local filming near her home. She is also developing a second film set in 1940s Kentucky — a psychological horror inspired by classic cinema. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra will present its final season concert, Americana, Saturday at RiverPark Center at 7 p.m. with a pre-concert talk from 6:15 to 6:40 p.m. and features music from West Side Story, Frozen, and The Bodyguard + guest artist Andrea Lykke making her U.S. debut.
