More than 3,900 Kennergy customers lost power Tuesday afternoon in Daviess and surrounding counties after a farmer accidentally hit overhead lines with his equipment, breaking two poles.

Crews quickly replaced the poles—restoring service for 344 customers while 12 continue without power, and the utility urged caution when operating farm machinery near power lines.
