Kim Roberson, owner of Kim’s Diner, announced a fundraiser to buy the building at 1212 East 18th Street after her landlord said he will sell the property and she received the first option to purchase it.

On Saturday, May 3, the diner will serve sack lunches from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—a cheeseburger or hotdog with chips—and she is also offering photography services to help raise funds.

A new Storybook Walk will be unveiled at Legion Park on May 1 at 4 p.m. The event is hosted by the Public Life Foundation, Daviess County Public Library, and Owensboro Parks & Recreation (free children's books will be available while supplies last).
