  • An estate sale of former Sen. Wendell Ford’s and his late wife Ruby Jean Ford’s personal items will run next week at the Ford family home, 2017 Fieldcrest Drive. CULTURE NEWS

  • Residents can preview Maui’s Indoor Theme Park today and tomorrow from noon to 9 p.m. at a facility on Frederica Street in the former Towne Square Mall — with a grand opening scheduled for May 8.  The Owensboro Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • Apollo’s boys varsity finished third and girls placed fifth at today’s track meet with 14 high schools competing. Top runners like Giuliana Moore (200m winner) and Noah Gray (3200m winner) led Apollo’s performance, while Warren East and Tell City won the boys and girls competitions respectively.  The Owensboro Times
  • May 1 softball games saw Apollo defeat Logan County 14-4, Owensboro Catholic rally to beat Christian County 4-2, and Breckinridge overcome McLean 8-6. Tyler Hall and Maddie Alvey led strong plays as local teams shown off their skills.  The Owensboro Times
