- ➤ Officials gave a first look at the design rendering for the new senior center planned on 8 acres at the corner of Carter Road and West Second Street (23,000 sq ft) and said groundbreaking may begin later in May. - ➤ The Pearl Club, once known as Summit Country Club, was revived by Terry and Melody Delk after a challenging period that saw its rounds drop and near closure in 2019—community support and the COVID-19 golf surge helped it regain strength, now drawing over 20,000 rounds annually and offering amenities like a pool, six pickleball courts, and a full-service restaurant.
