- ➤ Owensboro Health donated 17 parcels of land near its campus on Parrish Avenue to Habitat for Humanity to build affordable homes over the next two to three years. The city will support sewer, utilities, and sidewalks—marking the Greater Owensboro Area Housing Collaborative’s first major step to address the affordable housing shortage. 14 News
- ➤ Someone in Owensboro is holding a $20,040 raffle ticket after the BBQ & Barrels event reached a final pot of $40,080—claim must be made within 30 days. To claim the prize, the winner must bring the original ticket and a government-issued photo ID to City Hall during business hours, and payment will be issued within 14 business days after verification. - ➤ 2nd Street Fam Jam returns to Owensboro as local businesses host a free, family-friendly event that will bring live outdoor music, food from local restaurants, games, and sidewalk art. 2nd Street will close to traffic every Friday after 5 p.m. starting May 16 until August 1—providing a lively setting for community fun. 14 News

- ➤ The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office warned that scammers are impersonating deputies and using a spoofed phone number to call residents and request money for unserved charges—residents should call Central Dispatch to confirm any such calls. 14 News

- ➤ Drivers needing a REAL ID should book an appointment at the KYTC Driver Licensing Regional Office to manage increased foot traffic — they should review document requirements ahead of time. The office is at the Daviess County Operations Center on Highway 81, one mile south of the roundabout, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will offer Saturday service on June 7 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Daviess County
