- ➤ The 2025 BBQ and Barrels Festival announced the winning half-pot ticket—1-1-4-8-6-0-0—that will claim over $20,000 from a prize pool that exceeded $40,000. Ticket winners must claim the prize at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. by completing a Ticket Holder Claim Form with the original ticket. 44 News
- ➤ Habitat for Humanity Owensboro-Daviess County is looking for a new Executive Director as Jeremy Stephens will step down after four years—Board Chair Dr. David Danhauer said a search committee has been formed and that application details will soon be released while operations continue. 44 News
- ➤ Two young Owensboro Gold Star recipients were honored Tuesday morning at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum when they received new vehicles with no payments required through the Driven to Serve program. Parker Madden, a freshman at Western Kentucky University, and Micaela Trimble, a Belmont University graduate, will use the cars to support their education and work needs—part of National Military Appreciation Month and an initiative that has provided over 85 vehicles since 2018. - ➤ The Owensboro Museum of Fine Art will host Folk Art Frenzy, a free weeklong summer art camp from June 2 to June 6 for children ages 6 to 15 that explores American folk art. Sessions will be offered in the morning (9-11 a.m.) and afternoon (1-3 p.m.) and require reservations. The Owensboro Times

- ➤ Graduating seniors from Owensboro High School will walk one final time through their elementary schools in cap and gown during the annual Senior Walk—set for Thursday at 10:15 a.m. to inspire younger students. 14 News

- ➤ Owensboro Catholic won boys and girls doubles along with girls’ singles at the 3rd Region individual tennis championships today — Ella Cason claimed her fifth straight singles title while Lexi Moyers, Madison Clark, Houston Danzer, and Joseph Merchant also won key matches.
