  • The free weekly music series Live on the Banks returns tonight at 7 p.m. on the Overlook Stage in Smothers Park (overlooking the Ohio River), with OHS Red Steel opening and regional acts scheduled in the coming weeks.  The Owensboro Times
  • Downtown Owensboro's first Friday After 5 of the season lit up the riverfront on Friday night with live music, food trucks & family activities. The event, marking its 30th season, kicked off the weekend and drew large local crowds.  The Owensboro Times

  • Farmers in Daviess County and western Kentucky face rising costs as input prices soar while crop prices decline, according to Kentucky Farm Bureau leaders who testified before the U.S. Senate Committee (with fertilizer up 55% since February).
