ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, the Daviess County Fire Department responded to a report of a possible explosion at the landfill on Highway 815 and found half an acre of burning debris on the working face—landfill staff quickly used bulldozers, a scraper, and an excavator to smother the flames amid strong winds while firefighters found no evidence of an explosion and no injuries were reported. 14 News

- ➤ Detective Sergeant Chris Hayes from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office graduated on May 16 from the Kentucky Criminal Justice Training Academy of Police Supervision held at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, and he now leads the General Investigations Unit while serving as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal (with more than 13 years of service) (and as a U.S. Army veteran). 44 News
