Early Saturday morning, a fatal single-vehicle crash occurred near the county line on U.S. 60 West when a car left the road, struck a utility pole, and rolled into a waterlogged field—officials later repaired the pole and reopened the road by mid-morning.
The Owensboro Fire Department sent 10 Tech Rescue Team members to London to help with search and rescue efforts in Laurel County following Friday night storms — officials reported multiple deaths.
A new bluegrass mural was unveiled downtown near the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame on Saturday morning, showcasing six panels that celebrate Owensboro's musical roots.
