Daviess Co. fiscal court officials say three spray parks—Yellow Creek Park, Panther Creek Park, and Horse Fork Creek Park—will open for the season on Friday, May 23 with hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and remain free for children of all ages until September 1.

The Aviation Museum of Kentucky will hold a two-day aviation camp for youth ages 10 to 17 at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport on July 21-22, where students will fly in a Cessna 172 and participate in flight simulation activities and behind-the-scenes tours.

The camp is limited to 36 participants at $299 each (scholarships are available) and will be led by licensed pilots to introduce aviation careers.
