  • Owensboro officials say the opening of Cravens Pool is delayed due to a mechanical malfunction found during preseason maintenance — all scheduled programs are postponed until the facility reopens. Combest Pool and spray parks at Smothers, Kendall-Perkins, and Legion will open today.  14 News
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696 will host its annual Remembrance Field of Poppies ceremony today at 4 p.m. on the north lawn (a tribute to fallen heroes) with hundreds of red and white poppies symbolizing sacrifice and maintained by local veterans throughout Memorial Day weekend.  44 News
  • Despite heavy rain last night, locals gathered along the riverfront for Friday after 5 to enjoy food & live bands, though one booth & one band left early due to weather. Attendees praised the event for supporting local businesses & creating a fun atmosphere.  14 News

  • The Famous Bistro earned statewide recognition by being named to the Kentucky Historic Dining Guide, spotlighting locally owned eateries in historic downtown buildings.
