- ➤ Today, Army veteran Derek 'Doc' Van Tuyl leads an eleven mile Memorial Day walk starting at Smothers Park at 8:30 a.m.—he will read aloud the names of 128 fallen service members and display 250 American flags along the route to honor those lost in combat. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ The Islamic Center of Owensboro will host the second annual Faith Fest spring event this Friday at 1:30 p.m.—co-sponsored by the Owensboro Interfaith Center and the Owensboro-Daviess County Ministerial Association, the event will include an interfaith dialogue during Jummah prayer with guest speakers who will discuss the meaning of pilgrimage. - ➤ An early-morning single-vehicle crash on US 60 Wendell Ford Expressway near New Hartford Road in Daviess County left one person seriously injured and led to the arrest of driver Jose Perez Lopez for DUI and other charges—westbound lanes closed for over two hours during the investigation. 44 News

- ➤ Chapter One Marketing began as a one-man business in a bedroom and now has five team members helping Owensboro businesses with logos, websites, photos and ads. Founder Tyler Mayfield grew the firm through partnerships — first with Hosiva Solutions and then with M2 Productions — and now works from a local office while also supporting nonprofits. - ➤ Three local seniors—Matthew Dunlay of DCHS, Landon Block of Owensboro High and Jax Wethington of Owensboro Catholic—were named National Merit Scholarship winners as part of the March 25th National Merit Scholarship Program that selected 2,500 students from 15,000 finalists to receive a $2,500 award. - ➤ Daviess County finished its regular season with a record of 23 to 3 and a perfect 9 to 0 in region play and is aiming for its sixth straight title as the 3rd Region Tournament begins today at 11 a.m. in Meade County, where the host school faces Butler County in the opening match.
