- ➤ AAA reported that gas prices in West Central Kentucky dropped 10 cents this week, and in Owensboro the rate is $2.67 per gallon—well below the national average. WAVE

- ➤ FEMA has extended Serious Needs Assistance for Kentucky residents affected by April storms by 30 days; those who register by June 23 will be considered for help with essential supplies — water, food and medical items. 14 News
- ➤ GRADD has opened nominations for the Women’s 50 Over 50 awards that honor local women for their public service in counties including Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster. Nominations are accepted until July 11—winners will be featured in GRADD’s publication and celebrated at a luncheon in March 2026. 44 News
- ➤ The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said bad weather delayed repair work on the downtown Blue Bridge that was set to begin on June 9 and will now start with one-lane traffic today until June 12 with flaggers directing alternating flow. The bridge will fully close for up to 90 days after the July 4 holiday weekend — crews will repair two 750-foot spans and plan to have it reopen around early October. TriStateHomepage.com
