Clean Green Portables, a local sanitation company with over 20 years of service for Owensboro events and job sites, is now under new ownership by Logan Higginson.

Higginson—who grew up in the sanitation trade—plans to expand the fleet and upgrade operations while maintaining steady business.

Ashley Morris has grown Whipt Creations from a small catering startup into a thriving mobile food business with a new concessions trailer serving Southern comfort food at festivals and community events—she plans to expand into a full food trailer and open a brick-and-mortar restaurant as demand grows.

Chef Will and Christy Chaney visited four local diners that proudly serve Owensboro's Breakfast Queens.

Their review shows that each diner focuses on classic breakfast dishes—like eggs, bacon and pancakes—to honor longstanding family traditions.

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Leadership Owensboro Class of 2026, a program that builds leadership skills and strengthens community ties.

Applications will be sent to all nominees starting June 30 — final forms are due by July 29 as the nine-month program begins in September.
