  • Habitat for Humanity Owensboro-Daviess County announced it received a $7,200 grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels to replace its aging HVAC system at its main office (the program awarded $2.5 million to 333 nonprofits, helping more than 4 million Kentuckians build affordable homes).  44 News

  • Last weekend, attendees at OMG!Con 2025 gathered in downtown Owensboro and at the Convention Center for a three-day pop culture event—enjoying detailed cosplays, panels, workshops, and contests that showcased a welcoming spirit. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews are closing part of KY 140 between KY 1207 and U.S. 43 today at 8 a.m. to replace a culvert filled with runoff from heavy rain—officials say the road will reopen Wednesday morning.  14 News
  • Brian Quattrocchi, who has served as a public defender — worked for Kentucky Legal Aid and been a prosecutor with the Commonwealth's Attorney's office — will become the county's next District Court judge.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer
