- ➤ The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro will host the Summer Shorts Play Festival from July 11-20 at the Trinity Centre on 5th Street, featuring six world premiere one-act plays chosen from nearly 100 global submissions with shows at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays—while the festival will present a $1,000 prize for the highest-rated play and a $500 audience award.
