A new exhibit, Owensboro’s Origins: A New History of the Green River Valley, has opened at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History, where visitors can explore early local settlements until the museum finalizes 2027 plans; Executive Director Isaac Settle said dedicated staff built the display (showing intertwined local histories).
Friday After 5 celebrates Independence Day this evening downtown with free live music & family-friendly activities, starting at 5 p.m. with the Kroger Street Fair and featuring a drone show over the riverfront after sunset.
