Families with deaf and hard-of-hearing kids attended the first Pop in at the Park at Legion Park today.

Owensboro-based Freeman Athletic Fields launched Turf Guard 365, a synthetic turf cleaning service for schools, parks, and athletic fields.
The program deep cleans, sanitizes, and tests playing surfaces to extend field life and improve safety — it aims to protect a major investment for local facilities.

Leaders at the Owensboro Army Reserve Center held a Casing of the Colors ceremony today to inactivate the 1st Battalion-398th Infantry Regiment, a unit with over 100 years of history.
Service members said new leadership will take charge while the mission to train soldiers continues.

Clifford F. Riley Army Reserve Center on Dublin Lane Saturday, as local officials recognized the regiment's service & legacy.

This September, the Special Olympics Kentucky State Softball Tournament returns to Owensboro from Sept.
11-13 at Jack C. Fisher Park, and is expected to draw 700 athletes + coaches and family members. MedFest will be held at Cravens Elementary School + a dance party is planned at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
The Owensboro Bombers swept a Saturday doubleheader by beating American Legion Post 237 15-1 and Columbia 9-6 after a 6-5 loss to Pontotoc on Friday.
Key plays from Brody Brubaker and Eli Hampton helped secure the wins at the local ballpark.
