  • Pam Smith-Wright is inviting Owensboro residents to join her 14th annual 'Give a Hand, Pay It Forward' campaign, which will run August 4-16, by performing small acts of kindness like sharing a smile or a helping hand. Local groups including Independence Bank and Kentucky Wesleyan College already support the effort—an opportunity for neighbors to brighten each other’s day.  The Owensboro Times
  • Daviess County will host its first Family and Farm Ag Day at Panther Creek Park South tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will feature agricultural demonstrations (vintage and modern equipment, a petting zoo, and free health screenings) presented by county officials and local groups.  The Owensboro Times

  • The Kentucky Special Olympics Softball Tournament will return to Owensboro from September 5th-7th at Jack C. Fisher Park, drawing over 500 visitors and featuring more than 36 teams with games starting at 6 p.m. on Friday. Local teams—six in total—will compete while Visit Owensboro plans a dance party at RiverPark Center for the players.  44 News
