Oak View Group announced that the Owensboro Convention Center was named a top meeting destination by Facilities & Destinations magazine, earning its 12th Prime Site Award since 1994.

The Daviess County Fiscal Court will lower the real property tax rate from 12.9 to 12.2 cents per $100 of assessed value for 2025 — the largest cut in over a decade.

County Treasurer Jordan Johnson said the change maintains similar revenue due to rising property values while all other tax rates will stay the same.
