Red on the River returns on Aug.
15 at RiverPark Center with casino games, live entertainment and a silent auction to support Girls Inc. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the grand prize drawing is set for 9:30 p.m.
Attorney Russell Duty, a full service lawyer who started his Owensboro practice in 2004 after military and local firm experience, is being named Chamber Member of the Week by the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce for his commitment to local legal service.

Today, the Owensboro Bombers lost 9-3 in a rematch against Indiana in the American Legion Great Lakes Region Tournament, and coach Matt Freeman said the team came out flat and did not recover from a 7-0 deficit (ending hopes of reaching the World Series).
On Sunday, Aug. 9, the Daviess County Little League Softball team fell 2-0 to North Carolina in the World Series Finals as key defensive plays and errors shaped the outcome.
In only its second year, the team ended a summer run at 4-1.
