ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on US 431 between KY 298 and East Marksberry Road early Monday after 12:30 a.m.—the roadway was shut down while officials worked the scene.  14 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The city of Owensboro will buy 120.67 acres near West Parrish Avenue and the former U.S. 60 bypass for a new industrial park—this project will boost local business and create new jobs.  Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer
  • The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor will resurface just over a half mile of Carter Road—also known as KY 2698—between Keller Road at the 0 mile marker and Winning Colors Way at the 0.6 mile marker today from 4 a.m. to noon; both directions of the road will be blocked during the project.  TriStateHomepage.com

  • Ohio Valley Wrestling will host Fight Night — presented by the Eric Group — at the Owensboro SportsCenter on Nov. 1 featuring wrestling legend Al Snow and other special guests yet to be announced; ticket presale begins at 8:00 a.m. on Aug. 20 with general sales opening at 8:00 a.m. on Aug. 21 at prices starting at $12.50.  WDRB
  • The Eric Group and Owensboro Sportscenter will host OVW Wrestling in Owensboro on November 1 with wrestling legend Al Snow and other special guests.
