- ➤ Reagan Durham, a 5th grade student from Owensboro, made 15,000 shots over summer break and raised more than $5,000 for three charities by practicing early mornings, late nights, and on vacation. - ➤ A new breakfast and lunch food truck, Breakfast Express LLC, made its debut at the Moreland Park car show last weekend and served stuffed pancakes, BLTs, and biscuits and gravy — pleasing local residents. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The City of Owensboro and the GOEDC signed a purchase agreement in June for the 121-acre Massie Property—poised to be the largest publicly controlled industrial site in the area. The agreement will go to the Board of Commissioners for approval on Tuesday and covers land north of West Parrish Avenue and west of the U.S. 60 Bypass. 14 News

- ➤ Hager Preschool earned a five-star honor from the Kentucky Board of Education — the highest rating given by Kentucky All Stars — for its early childhood program. Registration for new students remains open at Owensboro Public Schools. TriStateHomepage.com

- ➤ The Owensboro Board of Commissioners adopted revised sidewalk policies on Tuesday to lower repair costs and speed up fixes by having the city use its own contractor instead of residents hiring one. City Manager Nate Pagan said the new plan lets the Sidewalk Committee set cost shares each year—potentially making repairs easier for homeowners. The Owensboro Times
