- ➤ Cinderella’s Closet of Western Kentucky will host its annual Box Lunch Fundraiser next month to help local teens attend prom with confidence—each $12 lunch comes with a choice of chicken salad or ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant, chips, a fruit or cheese pick, an apple, and a cookie. Orders must be placed by September 12 and lunches will be available for pickup on September 23 from Entrance G of Owensboro Christian Church, with delivery for orders of 10 or more. - ➤ Two people died in a multi-vehicle crash on Dixie Highway near E. Orell Road when a southbound vehicle changed lanes and struck other cars—Owensboro native Gary Wright, 77, and West Point native Tami Jo Hawkins, 63, were identified as victims. WDRB
