- ➤ The Daviess County Fire Department hosted its 12th Christmas Wish Golf Scramble on Friday morning at Ben Hawes Golf Course—drawing a sold-out field of teams and sponsors—to raise funds for the local Christmas Wish program. - ➤ Independence Bank launched its second annual Day of Good on Friday evening in Owensboro to support Special Olympics Kentucky’s state softball tournament and local projects. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Special Olympics Kentucky held its state softball tournament today at Jack C. Fisher park in Owensboro where over 500 athletes competed in 10 divisions + 40 teams participated, including five from Owensboro. Two teams will join the Skills Competition and the final day of games starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. with the last game at 11:30 a.m. 14 News
- ➤ Owensboro Catholic won the All-A Regional with 2-0 wins over Hancock County and Trinity — 25-17, 25-9 and 25-17, 25-20 respectively — to improve its record to 9-3.
