- ➤ A proposed zoning change may let contractor shops like plumbing and electrical businesses open in more of Owensboro’s B3 and B4 zones—OMPC approved the amendment using a conditional use permit process and it will get a second reading before final adoption. The Owensboro Times
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Owensboro Catholic finished sixth at the All-A State Tournament after shooting 429, with Ava Settles scoring 101 and teammates Emma Lanham, Catherine Ray, and Isabella Hodskins posting 102, 104, and 122 respectively. Daviess County finished fourth at the Henderson County Invitational after shooting 333—Claire Reynolds led with a 75 while Briley Billingsley, Baylie Billingsley, and Kennedi Minton contributed key scores. - ➤ At Rumble Through The Jungle in Goshen, Daviess County’s girls team finished fourth with a score of 149 while the boys placed seventh with strong times from runners like Mackenzie Ross and Austin Spurrier. At the Storm Invitational, Owensboro and Hancock County competed as the Red Devils finished sixth with athletes such as Isrell Roberts posting top times — both meets showed progress for the teams.
