Superstar Bill Dundee, who once ran an Owensboro furniture store on Carter Road in the late 1980s, died on Sept.
6 — he worked daily with Doug Hurt to deliver pieces to wrestling fans and even planned to make Owensboro his home.
Daviess County Fiscal Court will host Fall Fright Night at Yellow Creek Park on Oct.
30 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The free event will feature a haunted walking trail, costume contest for kids, pumpkin decorating contest, food trucks, and vendors (plus other fun attractions) to celebrate spooky season.

Owensboro Police are asking for help finding 81-year-old Charlotte Yeagle, last seen on the 2700 block of Frederica Street at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept.
7 while wearing a striped pajama set.

The Special Olympics Kentucky State Softball Tournament will take place at Jack C.
Fisher Park Sept. 11-13, drawing 700+ athletes and coaches including 7 local teams. A Healthy Athletes Village will offer free screenings Saturday from 8-4 at Cravens Elementary School + games start Friday at 6 p.m.
