CRIME NEWS

  • DCSO officers arrested Cynthia Wilson, 62, after detectives searched her Owensboro home on Frayser Avenue on Friday and found an active synthetic marijuana lab with over 10 pounds of marijuana, chemicals, a loaded .38 handgun and drug paraphernalia — evidence that she now faces charges including trafficking, handgun possession and wanton endangerment.  The Owensboro Times
  • On September 5, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Frayser Avenue in Owensboro and shut down a drug lab by seizing chemicals, scales, a loaded handgun, and synthetic substances—resulting in the arrest of 62-year-old Cynthia Wilson who faces charges including trafficking synthetic drugs and wanton endangerment.  TriStateHomepage.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Officials from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet delayed the lane closure on the southbound Twin Bridge by one day—work is now set to begin today at 6 p.m. Crews will work nightly from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.—the project is expected to finish by October 19 after addressing repair issues found in a late 2024 inspection.  14 News

  • Owensboro Times Pizza Week will run from September 19—28 with 28 restaurants serving creative whole pies instead of by-the-slice options, and a new dining guide with a map, photos, and descriptions has been released to help locals choose their favorites.
