Today, John Lampkin hosts his 39th annual Farm Festival—an event with free admission from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring over 50 vintage tractors, food vendors, kids’ games, and a model airplane flying field at his property on 8284 Short Station Road in eastern Daviess County.

Green River Community Food Warehouse reached an agreement in principle to buy the Clark Distributing Company property downtown to build a temperature-controlled warehouse for storing and distributing donated food in Owensboro and Daviess County.

The project will help improve hunger relief and cut food waste—thanks to a deal where the Clark family sold the property below market price.

Nationally touring comedian Mark Chalifoux will headline the Kentucky Sound Stage on October 17 with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the show starting at 8 p.m.—the performance, which will be filmed in a theater space for a late-night TV feel, will feature opening act Gavin Eddings and host Chris Izzy, and tickets are available in advance or at the door.
