SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Daviess County’s Panthers and Lady Panthers won the cross-country city county title — the boys edged Apollo by three points and the girls beat Owensboro Catholic by 11 points. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Owensboro Catholic will face Fort Knox tonight at 8 p.m. in a district match, and coach Jason Morris said the team came off their best week of practice. Morris said the Aces will focus on stopping Fort Knox’s key players—especially their fast quarterback and receiver—to strengthen their defense during the game. The Owensboro Times
- ➤ Today, the Hornets defeated McLean County 47-6 with a strong run game and defense—Kyle Anderson scored early while Jack Roberts and Brady Eubanks made key plays.
